Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast HARD in late 2012.
Peoples homes got destroyed, businesses demolished and lives uprooted.
I don’t have a personal Sandy story. Our home did not crumble, our family was kept safe and my business stayed intact.
But I did attend a very important life changing business mastermind event that embraced women entrepreneurs. One women in particular was honored at the event due to her Sandy story.
Here it goes. (We’ll call her Jane.)
Jane was a business coach for women entrepreneurs looking to make a change in their business and life. One week before Sandy hit, Jane sold her home, packed up her u-haul and moved to her new condo in NJ.
6 days later, Sandy hit her condo, washing IT AWAY with all her life (and I mean all) in boxes. She evacuated unscathed but she had nothing left but the clothes on her back.
Jane worked from home so thus all her business was washed away from the crashing seas.
Jane sat at the 3 day mastermind with just the clothes on her back, a positive attitude and a boatload of information to rebuild her business from the ground up!
She was an inspiration to all of us, and there are thousands of Jane’s out there trying to rebuild.
